What the FUCK is going on with Directnic????

Im with them since 4 years... never had a single problem until today.

All my URL redirections ceased to work. I asked and they responded they were under a DOS attack. Asked when it will be resolved or if i can be moved to another server (they work for some people) and no response...

Does anyone know ICQ or MSN from someone at directnic?

must've missed the last thread. they're under a denial of service attack at the moment. some of the redirecting DNS servers are out.. all of mine, however (28 domains), are still functioning 100%.

their tech staff is aware of the problem and they're workin to fix it, so there's nothin you can really do but sit back and wait.

yes, it seems some servers are up... so thats why i asked to move my things over there but no response.

Don't know about that... although im hearing lots of sites are having DOS problems today.

The only thing i know is that all my domains are down, DIRECTNIC IS NOT RESPONDING TO MY SUPPORT TICKETS and the weekend is coming!

They're probably busy trying to fix the problem with all their resources. If more than one server and customer is being affected, you can't really expect them to drop trying to resolve the problem for EVERYBODY so they can make a quick fix for YOU.

If moving those redirections to another server is in fact the fastest way to fix the problem, you can be assured they'll be doing that. Now let them alone to work on this, and I'm sure it'll be fixed shortly.

Heh. You seems to think Directnic is a small operation and/or they read this board.

There's not an ICQ for Directnic because they have a whole support team, not one dude handling it all. Just have to wait for your ticket to be answered. I bet they have 1,000 tickets in the system about this.

Stop wasting your time and mine with pure speculation posts... i told you i work with Directnic since 4 years ago so im very aware who they are and the quality of their service.

Also, i posted here cause i do know one of the owners is always around... so i was expecting help from HIM.

BTW, some directnic reps DO post here as well... just do a search.

Spoke to Sig. One of our free hosting servers is being DOS attacked. It has been going on for over 7 hours. We have our techs working on it.

We have the server back up, and it is working, it is justa little slwoer then normal.

We will continue to work until the problem is solved.

I am in favor of the death penalty for people who do shit like this!

Im checking my domains and sometimes they load sometimes they dont. So, it seems either they are still on the same server which is currently attacked or there's a problem with the backup.
