selling on Ebay isn't as easy as people say at least imo

Just wanted to say this because i see a few threads about Ebay selling. I am real interested in selling on Ebay myself for 1 big reason, traffic. But as far as finding what to sell, that part is real difficult. All the dropship companies have the same crap merchandise. All i ever see is lazer pointers, fake leather jackets, cheap cutlery like dollar store items. Even selling information is oversaturated.

I found one wholesaler that dropshipped name brand items from rca, panasonic and jvc all real stuff but it takes up to 30 days to deliver to the customer. I sold one 47" tv to a guy on ebay that was willing to wait and made a $170 profit. I beat Best Buy's and Circuit City's price. How many people want to wait when they can get the next guy to ship it out the next day?

The only way i can see making money is going to yard sales for stuff to sell or creating a product yourself.

    Any comments?

        ive done alot with ebay
selling alot of back stock from my parents store
now that is all running out i gotta find other shit to sell
i was lookin at gegy.com .. look sgood on there main page ..but when you get accepted ... items are like 3 bux cheaper than they are in the stores so it is almost impossible to turn a profit on that stuff

Getting items for me is not the hard part
the hard part is finding something that you can sell on ebay AND turn a profit with

you wont make money with 5-10$ items
        you need to go large
        target the 500$+ items

few years ago you could sell a turd for $100 with a lame description, nowdays ebay is completely different.

It went from like a quality flea market to crappy overpriced junk you can find anywhere, unless you are dealing in specialty merch that not everyone can get.

I bought a 3 dollar item the other day and got fucked in fine print for 9.99 shipping, and found out that is totally ok with ebay rules now. Just a couple years ago ebay would term your account as a seller doing that. fuck em.
