Are porn sites now out of date?

Many sites are now shooting there own content on vid.

So why do sites still 100% use websites?

I mean with DMR, why not put all your content onto DVD and sell it. The discs would be free, but using DRM (or whatever its called) means people have to sign up for a password.

This way, you are using practically no bandwidth.

As you do more shoots, then you just bring out a new DVD.

If people copy the discs, then great as people will still need to pay for a password.

Just my thought of the day.

Interesting concept, but there's a few road bumps:

-Broadband is taking over and getting speedier all the time, which allows for prompt downloads.

-You want people to return to the site on a regular basis, for upsells and more. A popular site also comes handy when launching a new site.

-People are still not familiar with DRM.

-People can?t copy DVD discs that easily, so your content won?t spread around that much with no effort.

-Bandwidth is dirt cheap.

dvd's arent hard to make, dvd burners are $50, ive had no trainin in the software and can make a dvd in a day or a week if you want it pimped out

Your idea is a little backwards imo. This is how porn was (of course with out DRM) before the internet...we would be taking a step back..not forward. Like pointed out not only is bw dirt cheap but when people want to jerk off they want to do it now not 3-5 business days later.

emx uses DRM, lots of other sites use DRM.

the web is just a very nice way to get the porn to the masses via broadband connections and with the convienient anonymity of the internet.

Your not looking at the consumer base obviously. The majority of people in just america barely know how to burn a cd and if they do they know hot to drag and drop and maybe click a button to do it.

what would you prefer: to make 100k per month without stress and play golf or work like crazy, learn how to make galleries convert, etc and make $150k per month(can be also 50k or less)?

what you do is your hire some hindu person to sit infront of a computer all day and his only job is to make galleries, even if you split the added profits with him it would be worth it, but i dont blame you, if i was makein 100k per month i wouldnt be that greedy but i also wouldnt like the fact that others are sapin money out of me that could easily be made

And a better answer would be that The Hun knows that without the people like us that submit & have submitted hand made galleries throughout the years are the same people that allow him to have the high volumes of traffic that he has today. your right the majority of americans and people in general are stupid or dont care enough to figure out how. I just think it would be a good idea in addition to downloadin porn movies to send the clients a dvd with content on it, im sure that a few of them would enjoy that enough to buy more dvds from you. And the total cost to you would be around $1 per dvd ( blank dvd's sell for 25 cents mailing costs ect). Mabye $2 a dvd sent out if you want to pay someone to do it for youl

better privacy on the internet. you have to hide the DVD somewhere, on the net you just have to clean your history + cache

i don't think surfers actually prefer a tangible good over a download

yep, you told it, with such income without any work at all, you would enjoy the life and didnt care about some bonus cash. And its not that easy, for example he sells the top spot for $500 right now and Im sure, the hindu wouldnt make him more of this spot. There are people who can make money of it and they buy it, but as I said, its not that easy.

I personally think that Adult dating will soon replace porn. A guy that used to reach porn on a monitor can make it real now.

im sure your right the majority of the customers probably just want that, but im sure that if you included a free dvd of the content when you signup it would increase signups because there is a percentage of people out there who possibly have a bad internet connection or dont want to have to sit there and download movie after movie. And the cost to implement this would be minimal. And dont include all the content on the dvd just some of it so they stay signed up to get a new dvd every month or whatever

I think nothing will change, the guys who buy paysite memberships rather than dating sites memberships, do it, because they dont want any real whore. Mostly they are married or have a GF, or are just too shy. They enjoy the pornsite and its enough for them. People wont change.

Those are probabilities that may happen. It's like saying that porn promotes child abuse. It absolutely does. But on dating sites, people meet their matches online and as far as I've known, most people are happy with it. Otherwise, this industry in general wouldn't grow as fast as it has.
