Today's bombing was most likely not done by them, but even if it was, they are fighting for their freedom through valid means because of the following points:
1) They are a seperate people, with a seperate history and culture, who are in their own lands. They have every right to not be governed over by an alien people, and any necessary action carried out to achieve that goal is justified.
2) They have long tried to achieve independency through attacks on tools and arms of the enemy government.
3) Civilians are a part of the enemy because, in a democracy, they are voting on, and being part of the enemy.
4) The population must be scared into ending the alien rule if the government won't budge. Civilian casualties by ETA actions aren't senseless (void of purpose) or motivated by evil.

And let me iterate the point that ETA are primarily targeting arms of the enemy government, giving fair warnings when bombing places in which civilians may take damage.

Personally, if my nation/people was forcefully annexed or ruled by another nation, I would try to change it first by diplomatic means, then by striking arms of the enemy government to show will to fight, and then, if nothing else works, terrify the enemy population into pressing their government another way by any means. And don't be mad at me for it, it's only bad for you if you want to rule over a people/nation that does not want to be ruled over by other than themselves.
