Well I'm a Jew with relatives in Israel, so I apologize for being anti-semantic in your mind, I guess. If Israel kills Arafat, or if he dies and Palestinians believe Israel killed him, all hell will break loose. Also there's no guarantee of who's going to take his place, it could be someone much more radical. I know it's hard to remember what happened more than a couple weeks ago when you get the news from TV, but there was huge progress in the peace process with Arafat during the Clinton administration. The violence didn't erupt again until 2000, coincidentally when Bush decided he wasn't going to recognize or deal with Arafat. I guess Clinton was anti-semantic as well.
