    The most expensive cell phone in the world



    $19,000 US dollars!

    BEIJING, July 23 (Xinhuanet) -- A luxury cell phone with a price as high as 160,000 yuan, or over 19,000 US dollars, has appeared in Hangzhou, capital of southeast China's Zhejiang Province.

    Only 500 of this model have been made, and eight of them went to the Chinese market. CRIENGLISH.com reported Friday.

    The cell phone has a super tough sapphire crystal display, a titanium body, platinum decoration and an edging of the finest leather.



    I went to Neiman Marcus today and saw it at the store the ones there were a diff model tho ranging from 3-6k

                                                              fyi, "Vertu" is the luxury subsidiary of Nokia. Most of their phones come with vip concierge (like a luxury "infone") & GPS/LoMo services. Plus the phone technology can be upgraded so the hardware doesn't need to be replaced often.
