I try to be an optimist as much as I can. While I do see how it would be a nightmare and I would like to avoid it... I also think this is the ideal place to meet someone closely linked with the kind of person I am.

That being said... you can have drama dating a non industry person, or have it here. If you play your cards right, or try to meet someone NOT insane (

) I think even a breakup can be an easy enough thing and seeing each other at shows, or what have you can be a pleasent hello.

I keep in touch with most of my exs.. one even on a daily basis. So I know keeping things civil can be easy enough.

So my 2 cents... yes it can be tricky but if you want it to work and don't CARE about what others are saying, but still do your job I think there is nothing wrong with it.
