I'll give you an example of how the church got involved in the Reagan re-election campaign when I was an 18 year old kid...getting ready for my first ever vote.
They outright told us it was our duty to vote for Reagan.
They had every Sunday petitions to sign, all kinds of baseless rumors on what would happen if Reagan did not win.
This is no bullshit....one thing they told us was that they would start airing executions and suicides on t.v. in a pay per view type event.
They also tied it in directly with the book of Revelations, and the coming of the anti-christ...I shit you not.

He was used like a puppet. He knows that. He didn't want to go to Iraq. I'm sure he'll retired after this is all said and done. He probably will retire this coming year so that he's not shamed further belonging to a party whose current policy in Iraq is one that he doesn't agree with.

Bill got elected because he appealed to Southern Democrats and didn't have the elitist liberal label that Kerry and others from the Northeast that the dems keep trying to run have.
