Think about it... any religion that exhorts its followers to "Love" one another and to "turn the other cheek" is just asking for its adherents to take a huge ASS whoomping.
Human nature is NOT eye for an eye... it is "You fuck with me and I put you and your family in the cemetery." If it wasn't for the healthy doses of hypocrisy and cynicism of people who supposedly practiced Christianity (the medieval popes, medieval kings, and their more modern counterparts etc etc) who hypocritically lip synched Christian values but in reality proceeded to KILL their opposition, maybe the Christian regions of the world would have ceased to exist a long time ago.
Indeed, many FIERCE tribes and peoples from the Vikings to the Goths became soft and passive once they were Christianized.
Moreover, Christianity breeds guilt.
Maybe the solution is to abandon this hypocrisy and turn back to what makes the world go round--FORCE and IMPOSITION OF WILL. Of course, do it under the guise of DEMOCRACY and FREEDOM and EQUALITY BEFORE THE LAW....
