    Low value on $ is good for U.S.

    A cheap dollar will be good news for the tourism industry.
    Hawaii will blow up with Aussies, New Zealanders, Japanese...etc if they can buy more here than at home. A dollar is still a fucking dollar to me no matter what foreigners pay for it!!!

    US export products will become cheaper and more affordable to other countries and this will help reduce the trade defecit!

    Low interest rates are great for all except the fucking rich that's trying to live off their interest. More home and auto loans for the middle class equals more tax revenue for the states!!

    Yeah, US resident will find it hard to buy if they become a tourist in other countries, but who the fuck is going some where now anyway so they can get kidnapped.

    Low dollars means sweat shops can't pay as much anymore so jobs will come back to US; punching a hole in outsourcing by US corporations.

      Also causes the inflation rate to go higher, because US doesn't produce Oil, but depends on it as VERY MUCH.
      Transportation starts to cost more = therefore goods start to cost more. Dollar is loosing its weight in the International trade.
      International trade switches to EUR, and all the contries that you send printed dollar bills to (Financial Aid) are going to send them all right back.
      Then what happens?

      End of days god damn it..

              True the only price difference I have seen in the last few years is that of oil / gas, and that is not because of our dollar value droping. Gas and oil are going up for every one, and cost more in some places than it does here.

                                          No. Countries like Japan will have to cut their prices to fit the US dollars or be stuck with billions of dollars of undeliverable goods.
                                          Our dollar may get weak but Mexico is still not going to be able to buy these goods and replace us in trade with Japan.

                                          Outsourcing thrives on the US dollar...we pay them $3 which equals $5 of their money; but when the $3 is only worth $2 of their money the workers quit and take local jobs that pay the equivalent of $2.95. Add in the extra cost of overseas biz like shipping and raising the outsourced pay becomes not worth it so the job comes back home.

                                                              what jobs are coming back home? the US dollar has been dropping for over a year. the huge US deficit is causing the dollar to weaken...capital is fluid, it will be sent where the best return is..and right now its being sent out of the US..

Most US stocks are inflated beyond reason anyway making dividends worthless as they only pay .01 cent on a $50 stock. Selling your stock to make money is bullshit; your profit should come from dividends so you can continue to make money without constant liquidation with broker fees that eat your profit.

                                                                          Americans will finaly be able to afford some decent shares when this happens and they will buy like crazy knowing that the dividend is now proportional to the price!

                                                                          The companines selling stock now are just holding on to this capitol and collecting interest since the money raised through selling shares far exceded their operational needs. They will not be hurt by falling prices of their stock!

                                                                                          Read my post again where I state that companies have too much fucking money in reseve already. They are raising far more money than they need through inflated stock and then reporting the interest from the stock money as profit which makes the stock go up in price further. This is bullshit and this is why Enron execs are in jail!

First off with your idiotic analogy the parts to make that VCR came from a foreign country and that US VCR ends up costing more to produce. Secondly, with a weak dollar it takes more dollars to purchase oil, which effects everything from travel to higher prices for everything. Everything has to be transported, from the parts to manufacture to shipping the product to retail outlets. If you really believe the bullshit you post then take a look at Mexico, see how the strength of their currency has helped them.

As the USD loses value foreigners think "WTF am I holding this piece of shit currency"

                                                                                                                                                              To attract more foreign cash, the federal reserve has to raise interest rates and as a consequence slow the economy.
