When I'm with a client I charge anywhere from 30-60 an hour . When I work for myself I'd say I do 15-25 an h ... maybe more I dunno.

That's a hard question, because I go through periods of long hours of hard work setting things up, but then the cream rolls in after that with only minimal maintenance work while I slack off for a while.Comment

My clients pay about $50/hr on average, but that is a one hour minimum fee. If I am there for 5 minutes, or 60 minutes, I get paid the same . . . so I try to work really, really fast.Comment

It really depends on the project. I could do a whole page for a friend for free, or I can charge upwards of $50 an hour. You really have to go with your gut on what to charge, it is a difficult thing to do, but I am starting to get the hang of it.JedMaster2112Comment

Yeah.. one thing i've learnt is to NEVER under quote. It's easy to lower your rates but very hard to increase them when dealing in a high exposure market ("But it was cheaper last week! what's changed? er.. nothing.. well we painted it another color") etc, doesn't always go down well.Originally posted by slapass

depends on the kind of work i do
can do paysite for 350 in 4 hours
and can do 100 banners in 2-3 days for 500
so price for hour work differs from 5 to 75 usd
