    American Pride?

For the first day in my life, I am NOT proud to be American. I'm fucking disgusted. Disgusted to the point where I actually have the urge to vomit. I'm disgusted to the point where I'm actually considering leaving this country for the next 4 years. I'm disgusted to the point where I'd like to give all Bush voters a big FUCK YOU.

How can anybody in their right minds possibly think our country is in better hands now than it was 4 years ago? How can you people support a bullshit war that's killing our nation's youth, and forcing the survivors into a backdoor draft? How can you people let religion make up your minds? You bible thumping idiots need to eat shit and realize that everything you are against, is what Bush is. How will the broke ass Americans survive when their Social Security funds are cut off? How will the girl that got raped feel after she stabs he unborn baby in the head with a coathanger because conservative Christians won't let her make her own decision? How will you feel when your Financial Aid is decreased to the point where you need to max out credit cards just to take a class? How will you enjoy your life when Big Brother takes away more of your freedom? How will you deal with a country that falls even deeper into this shithole called a defecit? How will you feel when your once secure job is handed over to a worker in another country because it's cheaper, and comes with a tax break? How will you feel when YOU or your CHILD gets sent to a third world country to kill complete strangers? How will you feel when our allies turn their backs on us when we really need them? How will you feel when we get attacked once again because of a difference in Religion?

Am I mad? You'd better fucking believe it. The majority of individuals voted for the most dangerous man on the planet. This makes them just as dangerous. Did you vote for him? Why did you vote on him? Because your most likely either:

    A. A religious fanatic who believes that the whole world should be Christian.
    B. A wealthy business owner who feels as if he doesn't need to pay taxes.
    C. A war loving hick who doesn't value the lives of the nation's youth.
    D. A person who thinks this war in Iraq is actually for something besides oil.
    E. A brainwashed kid who voted because his daddy told him to.
    F. A groggy idiot who slept through the last 4 years and missed all of the nation's negativity.
    G. Just sick in the fucking head, and oblivious to the state of our nation.

What's the best thing that I've heard all day? "At least if we have a cival war, we have the idiots surrounded!".

In case that makes no sense, look at the map. The whole center of the country is red, surrounded by countless angry blue states.

Thanks America. Thanks for contributing to the saddest day in American history. I hope you enjoy the next 4 years. You'll get what you deserve while the rest of us can say "we told you so".

The conservatives and ultra right wingers spoke louder than the moderates and liberals at the voting booth.

As usual half the country didn't even vote figuring Kerry had it cinched. That just proves the game ain't over till its over and everyone got the shock of their lives.

The number one reason voters stated for supporting Bush was for "Moral Values".

These are people against abortion, against gays having equal rights, against porn, against Howard Stern humor, for reduced taxation, for war.

That's why these polls prior to elections are so dangerous. People assume that their votes won't make a difference.

This is the only response I got from a Republican:
I would be D on your list, but really, the war is a good thing, we all wanted to capture saddam and bin laden and them...i'm not a war mongering hick (im a so.Cal girl) but i agree wit hthe war and our boys over there are dying proud believe it or not! Sorry the man who had your beliefs didn't win...take care anyways

                      why would they even bother?

he prefaced his opinion by insulting them.

that's a smart way to start an meaningful discussion.

why not just come out and say.. "let's discuss your idiocy" ?

coulda saved a couple dozen lines of nonsense typing.

I love the passion and the hold nothing back approach to your post.

Going to be a rough 4 years, and I shudder at the thought of what the landscape of this nation internally and globably will look like at that time.

Sorry to say this but the process worked. People want Bush in so he's in. If they wanted otherwise, they would have voted differently.

Dean was the opposite of Bush. Kerry was in the middle somewhere, nobody knew exactly where.

The "liberal" youth stayed at home eating Doritos and playing video games while smoking weed instead of voting, just like the previous election.

These are times of immense change and uncertainty (wow, much like the rest of human history looking into the future). Bush provides solid ground to stand on as far as foreign and domestic policy. People like that. They want to stand on firm ground. Even if the ground is littered with feces at least it's solid ground rather than one that has holes you might fall into not knowing where it will lead.

Btw, America IS more or less still a FREE country. Nothing has changed substantially in the past 4 years nor last night (at least not yet). People saying it's the "least free" is utter nonsense.

We may not agree with who was elected but he was elected fair and square. We will have to go on, that's all we can do.

You know, it's not even American pride that many non-Americans have a problem with.

It's American arrogrance... and unjustified arrogance at that.

Whats worse... American Arrogance... or the arrogance of people outside America feeling the need to chime in on American politics, when most of them in fact live in a far more fucked country and under more restriction/opression than we will ever be?
