The only reason I would choose Canada over Europe is that it's closer to family. Other then that, I have no reason to aim for a country other then Switzerland. They've always been good to immigrants, they have one of the best education systems in the world, a military that is strictly reservist and for defense and a very strong economy. Not to mention I speak the official national language (not at all fluently, but not too badly either . . . for an American
) and one of the other common tongues.
