I'm sure that's true, but I like the idea of those freedoms being constitutionally guaranteed. It makes it much more difficult for any government to take them away. My countrymen may be fucked up individuals who re-elected a monkey in a suit, but we are generally absolutely rabid about keeping our freedoms no matter what (with only a few exceptions).
