CNN is still showing that neither has 270, and there's the whole 11 day thing.

What the fuck happened to 'counting every last vote'?

If Kerry really did concede before the end of the whole show, then fuck him.

I'd rather not have a fucking quitter in office anyway. I want a president who will stick it out till the very end. Come next election, Kerry does not have my vote.

Because whoever wins Ohio wins the presidency, and he is losing there by roughly 140,000 votes. Even when all of the military and provisional votes add up, there won't be nearly enough for Kerry to make up that much of a difference unless he basically got 80% to 100% of the total votes remaining, which is impossible, especially with the military who if anything would lean towards Bush (no idea why).

I think he can, but I doubt he'd win the democratic primaries again, so he wouldn't bother trying. They had their chance this election. The democrats will be looking for a new leader to win next time.

The law in Ohio says that they can't even BEGIN counting the provisional ballots until 11 days after the election. It may take a while after that to actually do all the counting. It'd be a bad political move for the democrats, so they basically encouraged him to concede now since there's no possibility those votes would come out in his favour enough to make up the gap.

Actually, it doesn't mean anything If 100,000 of the voters in Ohio that voted for Bush went for Kerry instead, Kerry would now be president. He would still be president even though he would have lost the popular vote by more than 3 million votes still.
