As far as governments go, I have to agree that there is always something corrupt going on. The one thing I have to give to Chretien when he was in power was that he admitted to favoring people he knew when awarding contracts. No sugar coating it - was it wrong, depends how you see it - are other governments any better with their lies and then inquiries and then court cases? I'd rather have a corrupt politician who admits to his modus operandi than one who does a great magical show and pretends that it has nothing to do with HIS bank account or that it doesn't benefit his own personal interests.
