I did that before.... You have to COMPLETELY bleach your hair white first.... Then it works really good.

BTW your still the hottest chick on GFY IMO.

You're gonna have to bleach it more than that first, if you want it a good blue.

Its the gold undertones that will turn it green when mixed with blue.

I think you would look HOT no matter what your hair color was/is bright pink, neon yellow, it doesn't matter.... hell it could even have poka dots you are still HOT in my book!

I even asked the woman who was selling me the stuff "I was dyeing my hair blue. Its reddish brown. Should I bleach my hair first before doing it?"

" Oh no, just mix the color with this peroxide mixture and the color will set in.

, agree that you need to bleach it out first. You can use "superblue" or a similar product (sold at Sally Beauty supply or any other beauty supply wholesaler) and mix with 40 volume peroxide for the fastest results. Or go to a salon and ask for a "double process" blonde. This will strip all the color out of your hair shaft and when you go blue it will be a really vibrant color. Using the colors like blue over "virgin hair" (not dyed) doesn't work.

You have really beautiful hair BTW, good luck with the dye job!

one time the salon turned my hair pumpkin orange when it was supposed to be blonde. thank goodness it was in time for Halloween! don't worry - they can fix anything they mess up!

yeah, that salesperson gave you very bad advice.

the only way to get reddish brown hair to blue is by BLEACHING it to white first. you'll need %40 peroxide and bleach and you'll probably have to do it a couple of times to get all the yellow out.

i wouldn't. that much bleach will seriously damage your hair. you'll lose all the shine and elasticity. your long locks will be brittle and break easily.

if i were you, i'd do a shampoo cap with %10 peroxide mixed with shampoo to get that green out. then i'd put a nice dark purple on it.
