    Where's the US dollar headed?

    Should one be expecting some dramatic increases/decreases in the next 24-48 hours?

    Is it possible there may be an opportunity here to sell some US dollars for more than the current 1.20 CDN in the next little while?

                          It might be a slight increase who ever wins, but it won't be heading up any time soon. (long term)

                              Look at xe.com - it updates every 10 minutes - so far the $A has gone up against the $US and I guess the $CDN is doing the same.

                              That doesn't look like a spike in the $US to me - it looks more like the market as decided that re-electing Bush has the potential to turn the US economy into a shambles.

                                      Being rapidly dumped and converted into Euros or *any* currency that has some credibility.

                                                      Ya, I've had the http://www.xe.com/ucc/ page open for two days now, refreshing it every couple hours. Last night was 1.228, this morning is 1.211.

                                                      Down a bit, but nothing extreme thus far.

                                                      Remember thinking that 1.3 was brutal?

                                                      ....'o.k., I'll wait till we get back to 1.35....It ain't no .40 on the dollar, but It'll have to do....'
