    You can get a house for $1,000 there that doesn't look too bad...must be a terrible neighborhood. 10k will get a decent one.

    houses almost for free! why don't a shitload of white people buy entire neighborhoods and revitalize the area? Would be a cheap solution to the housing bubble in other cities.

          I have a few friends that have travelled to Detroit for business. Saying it's a shithole would be a compliment. It sounds depressing as all hell. And other than autos, what business is there?

              i'd rather be stranded on the West Bank than in downtown Detroit. been to a fair number of major city ghettos, Detroit's is the worst i've seen.
