I don't have time to read every page of this bullshit and I know the thread died earlier, but just in case no one has pointed it out yet, comparing the physical injuries of faceless webmasters to those of a chick who is a webmaster AND her own content is ridiculous. Not only does she have the pain and injury, the impact on her work is threefold: sitting at a computer doing webmaster shit is hell, shooting content is impossible (unless she's trying to appeal to the handicapped & abused niche or the toothless hillbilly niche), and entertaining on cam and doing shows (which is what her site is built around) is pretty fucking tough. So those of you whining about "poor me, no one solicited donations when *I* had my accident" have no basis for comparison - you don't run an indie-porn-personality-camsite and you probably have no idea how much work it takes or how much revenue it does or doesn't make her.

Kayla and I aren't all that fond of each other so this isn't a kissing-my-friend's-ass post, but I have to give credit where credit is due: how many of you asshats who are bitching and criticizing have used your web presence to solicit donations for animal shelters, etc.? Well . . . Kayla has.

Hope Kayla is feeling better -- some of us (myself included) may not be donating a red cent to her, but I don't understand why people have to act so ugly and mad at the people who *do* help her out.

That's because you didn't read the entire thread.

If you did, you'd understand why honest people who wanted to help her out and wanted to know more about the situation got upset from a stupid asshole that just cares about himself.

It's like doctors asking for research. And if I'm interested in helping them out, I'll ask question about the research, but then doctors would treat me like a fucking idiot because I asked questions.

It's exactly how the stupid idiot handled the situation here.
