Great series of books called "eyewitness travel guides" published by "Dorling Kindersley" (UK) they are the best books you can buy for any place your going to visit, every last detail including best places to eat. Most travel agents have them as a reference.
Oh and yeah, you can find them on the internet
"ILLEGITIMIS NON CARBORUNDUM" <-- "DON'T LET THE BASTARDS GRIND YOU DOWN"
You can log on to different websites of hotels. These hotels usually have international tie ups, and then you can search from there.
You can also try going to search engines. Sorry I can't mention paricular sites at this time. I'm sure you won't have any trouble finding what you want. Everything is on the internet now.

where do u find out about what that place has to offer?
please name sites if possible.
It depends where that place is, like in what country. If it's someplace in the US, I ask around to people I know or just go without really knowing. If it's overseas, I talk to one of my friends in Europe or get on ICQ. Search for people from that place on ICQ and talk to them.
