In the past year I've met at least 4 people who were coming to the boards for the first time, had never been to a webmaster convention and didn't know anyone else... but they'd all been in the business for years and were making great money. They just happened to see an ad somewhere and came over to check the board out.

Plenty of folks in this biz who don't have contacts or a networking system who succeed.

I am not afraid of competition in the least if ya look at the thread StockFuckhead started (As he went and created this thread to make more spin) ya will see that my point is simply this.

The industry is a verticle market but its spread is massively wide there for dollar per dollar your working harder for it.
Giving false illusions to new commers is not a nice thing to do...
