I think in a way it's a good idea, at least for auto downloaded dialers. I hate them and hope they all go out of business, and people get back to basic good business. as far as for the dialers that are downloaded on purpose there should be a way to tell which companies are cheats and which are not since that would be a big loss in revenue for a lot of honest webmasters dialers. eaither way I don' like dialers maybe cuase I never used them maybe becuase I live in a foreign country and get bombarded with them at least I used to how knows. good old fasioned signup is always the way to go.Comment

Guess the Germans will have to get out their credit cards now. They will still consume porn just find another way to pay for it.Comment

This was the decision of the surpeme court. If you got tricked (auto-popup or hidden installation) into the dialer, you don't have to pay. It's not the end of the dialer market, it's a way in the right direction. If a link to a dialer is placed on the join page and you decide to click on the link to pay via phone for the service, it's fine. (see Nastydollars sites) If you go to a TGP and you get thousands of pop-ups with auto-dialer installations, the site owner is fucked, not the surfer.Originally posted by Miguelmateos

We do directdebit for germany since years. It works great and
is the most accepted form of online payment in germany
The laws regarding dialers in germany have changed quite a
while ago and the people who have not noticed this yet will
very soon do so when they won´t get payed for minutes on
their "regular" german dialer.JOPComment

yes it's true, but it's old news.
if dialer autoinstall and you have proof that you had no knowledge that you get charged ?1,68 per minute you don't have to pay. if you click any checkbox saying "i read the terms" you gotta pay trough.
also a common trick is to say your kids used it cause underaged kids can't make any contacts and the dialer agreement (to charge you ?1,68 per minute) is a contact. this stuff mainly comes up for fun-dialer and homework-dialer (that stuff is hot in germany lately).
so STFU everybody! germany knows how not to get fucked (except WWII)

Germans have plenty of cards. Not as much as people in the US do but certainly more than the third world countries that some dialer companies and sponsors like to compare germany with. Last time I looked it was like 15 mio cards, or was it 20? The payout for 900 numbers is high though. Now guess where the "germans don't have cards" bullshit is coming fromOriginally posted by Pornopat
