LOL have it your way, when it came down to it Poland was divided between russia and the nazis, the territory which fell into the hands of russia stayed under communist rule til the collapse of the iron curtain. Other fact is, that Warsaw rebelion in 1944 was not helped by Red Army, just because the leaders were mostly non comunist anti-fasists and USSR used the chance to erase future resitance against comunist rule in always proud and freeminded Polish nation.
BTW partialy freed by US was my country - former Czechoslovakia - but as I see it now (within last 15-20 years) US has changed - from free, opened and first really democratic land to nationalist (real name for patriotism), freaky land, willing to bind themselves in government watching, political correctness, "who is not with us, is against us!" policy, take OUR democracy or die, do no look on women or they sue you, never hug your child or go to jail pervert! and so on. I spent in US nearly a year and was heavily diappointed, when I found not the free country I was looking for. Not the people willing to succes, not the chances. And no education (I mean I was frozen by seeing 14 old kids having 4 subjects like Math, English, Science and RELIGION), no world overview, no history (even their own). All they hear are American succeses, no loses - we rule the US (but ehm ehm massmurdered natives), we defeated Japan (but ehm ehm we placed all Japanese-Americans in camps and shot some too...)...
