I got it a couple years ago from wearing contacts, touching the eye so often. It's just an infection, I don't really see what age has to do with it?

i think this might just be the allergic brand

generally the viral and bacterial are just highly contagious so i remember in school a bunch of kids would be out of school at any given time with it

im just saying im not really exposed to germs in that kind of atmosphere anymore which is where i thought this stuff was primarily found

I feel for you man. Nothing worse that pink eye. I had a BAD case of it last year and it moved to both eyes, swelling both of them totally shut for about a week.

My grandfather had a large cattle ranch when I was growing up and whenever a cow would get pink eye, they would separate it and put medicine on it that was dark purple and circled the entire eye. When a school nurse diagnosed me with pink eye when I was about 15, I was petrified they were going to cover my face in dark purple medicine!

But anyone can get it. If you have kids you stand a better chance of getting it.

The only time I ever had pinkeye was last year... and I have no idea why. When you get pink eye, you keep getting yellow mucus and your eye turn really red.... well in my case it was. On top of that I had some badass cranker sores in my mouth. It was a living hell. I used polysporin eye drops for over a month and then some. Eventually it got better.

I had it in both eyes as well... about 8 years ago my son's daycare sent out a notice that almost all the kids had pink eye... about two days later, me and my son both had it. The doc gave me some jelly ointment, instead of drops... it was so gross!

I got it for the first time last week in both eyes.....what a pain in the ass (well, in the eyes I guess i more appropriate!)

Some drops fixed it up in 2 days, they still little itchy though here and there.

I'm 23, so guess you're not the only one.
