I am thinking of hiring a personal chef a couple days a week. Anyone have any experience with this?

Yeah, I've looked into it. It's actually more expensive than taking a few people to a high end steak house, but the chef goes and buys the groceries, cooks, cleans, and packages the leftovers in labeled containers so you can eat it later.Originally posted by JayJay

The thing is, I don't think I would want a fully prepared type chef meal everyday of the week. Sometimes I like eating pizza or cereal for dinner. I think having a chef come in 2 or 3 times a week tops would be more than enough, plus I am sure there'd be a shitload of leftovers.Originally posted by xclusive

1 of my good friends used to be a chef at Tavern on the Green and The Carlton.
He's coming over tomorrow to make Butternut Squash soup for Halloween

I had one when I lived in the suburbs. She came 1-2 times a month and would cook 4 serviings of 5 different dishes, some side orders and dessert. I think it was $3-400 a visit. It was GREAT

HAHA, I think a full time chef cooking 3 meals a day at 150 grand a year would be cheaper.
