when you guys are putting banners in your sigs for webmaster referrals to your sponsors...are you hosting the image on your site or hotlinking the image strait from the sponsor?

If your running your ref code in the URL, i would say you probably should host the image yourself -
From the sponsor.SIG TOO BIG! Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, then you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60.Comment

Not tryin' to hijack your thread, SG, I just want to post some follow-up questions, as I am a newbie and your topic is of interest to me and posslibly others.
What is the purpose of placing sponsor banners in your sig? Are you getting paid for the posts in which they appear, or only when someone actually clicks the banner?
Other than configuring your sig in your profile, what options or procedures and whose approval are necessary to implement this feature?
