Anyone Take Zoloft?
Doctor prescribed it to stop my violent tendencies...should I bother taking it?

Take it but make sure you talk to your doctor about how it reacts with your body... I use to be on prozac for panic attacks when my grandmother was passing away and it made life easier at the time... and really helpedTrust no one there all snakesComment

I took myself off of it- and now take Valium for anxiety attacks
I'd rather have a hard on and be a little "off" than be a zombie with no libido.
I did feel a lot more focused on it though.

It probably was not right for you then. It can take up to a few months to figure out which one is. I did get a "lower" sex drive but the results were actually benefecial (ill let you figure that one out).Originally posted by kBizzle

The reason why I'd never take zoloft is because of the potential weight gain it causes. An average person gains about 20 pounds off zoloft.
Anyways, I'd recommend taking any sort of treatment prescribed by a doctor.
I used to think that I was depressed, but I found out (figured out) that I had social anxiety order and not depression. I have a new perspective on life with my social anxiety disorder treated. But having social anxiety disorder helped me to become a successful webmaster (in the past), mainly because I never wanted to leave my house for years.
