I also recommend the geForce Ti series cards, they are low priced and powerful.

I would also avoid buying old harddrives, especially if they are Western Digital. You can pick up brand new 160GB Seagate drives for ~$100, so 50GB of drives that will most likely crash and burn (literally) within a couple weeks is no good.

ahh.... thanks for the tips Matt, I'm paying attention to what you're saying.

so far we've done very well.. for example, that computer only cost us $82 to build.. but I want to experiment with higher end ones and laptops too.. we've bought and sold a few cheap old laptops, and people want them but they want good ones
