    a-conman mysql, other addons, patches

    I understand that a couple of people have made
    necesary chnages to a-conman, the open source
    content management system, to make it work with mysql
    or make other improvements. Until now, none of that code
    has been merged with the official a-conman release.
    I am the new developer for the official a-cconman release
    tree and I'd very much like to include mysql support and
    whatever else webmasters have found useful.
    Also if anyone has put together any kind off documentation
    at all - evven a few lines of notes to themselves about
    how to install it - I'd love to merge that with the distro.

              i did a port over to mysql using ezSQL lib from justinvincent.com but I never ended up using it. had to switch a lot because mysql doesn't have triggers like postgres does. a search might help find the other guy that did one.

                          Raymor, I also wanted to write a mySQL port to a-conman but after really digging into the code I found that it basically is a broken piece of shit. The only part that "worked" was the video feed part of it and that code wasn't even accessible via the admin panel. I chucked it as no one, including Q, bothered to respond to my repeated inquiries.

                          AWiz and ContentGod are more viable solutions, IMHO, and you don't have to port them. If the a-conman crew ever gets things working on all levels then maybe they'll be viable again.

                              uhh.. I'll have a look if I still have something here. I gave up after a few days modifying it cause whenever you fixed one part you found 20 more problems. And the soft doesn't have features I really need so I did my own CMS from scratch
