I personally don't feel good about threads like this one. I, too, believe that there are better and more appropriate avenues for raising money for webmasters than making major announcements on a pornboard.

We have all been in accidents. Should money be raised for every webmaster who has an accident? If the other driver was at fault, then the insurance company of that person will end up paying for the deductible, rental car, etc. If the guilty person is uninsured, then your own insurance company should cover all the expenses, including the deductible. At least that is what happened in my case when the other party was uninsured and at fault. Your own insurance company will pay for pain and suffering and loss of wages........mine did. 21st Century.

No sense arguing about this matter. Those who want to give, should do it.

or that is how it was explained to me the two times ive had to do my insurance

i have a 500$ deductable
anytime i make a claim and they find someone to fix it it is 500 and when i wrecked the shit ouf of the car they where going to look at the car and if the car was totaled they where just going to pay the rest of the car off if it is cheaper than fixing it

so unless they are fixing her car she shoudnt have to pay a deductable

if they are fixing her car it isnt totaled

but wtf 1000 deductable ? she must have a shitty past

kayla needs the support more for the lost work she and david will experience from this. the got hit soo hard it knocked her shoes off. the trunk was in the backseat of the car. the frame was wrecked soo bad they couldn't use a tow truck ,had to be a flatbed. it meant a hell of a bad day - and a few us us sent them some cash basically to show them some love as kayla's always been good to me and many other people here.

the next day they will both be soo soar I doubt they'll be able to do anything.

I don't have to be in a wreck to know what my deductible is. It's right on my policy. Don't know how it works in California, but I assume it's pretty standard to know what one's own insurance coverage entails.

Btw insurance companys work with you on payments. You can pay like 100$ every two weeks and they are happy.

david was released from one hospital and kayla was on her way to another last i talked to them.

Kayla was having trouble breathing too,, it didn't sound good at all.

yeah sure you should know what your deductable is but im sayin i thought my car was totalted and they where just going to pay it off as the whole passenger side was taken off but they fixed it

i dunno im thinkin to much at 1:30 am

SleazyDream, you did a very poor job of explaining the situation.

All we know is that her car was damaged for $1000 and that she has free medical. You said she'll lose a few days work over this - does that mean she's injured and cannot work for a few days, or does that mean it will take her a few days to earn $1000?

Some of the webmasters who questioned your post are good people who are only trying to find out more information. For you to start slinging mud at people only trying to find out more about a situation is uncalled for.

If people knew whether or not Kayla was in a truly dire position then perhaps more would donate. But when people asked for more information about it you basically gave them a big "fuck you, donate or don't donate - just don't ask questions"

It's good you are trying to help a friend, but you are being an asshole to other people who just want to find out more information.

Jesus this is not fucking complicated.

If the car is totaled and needs to be paid off and the outstanding balance is 12K - the insurance company writes a check for 11K. Totaled or not your deductable comes out of your pocket.
