You would be surprised what a bunch of little guys can do. They may only send a sale here or there, but it really stacks up quickly. From a hosting perspective, I've sold small packages to MANY people/newbies that later went on to setting up multiple servers. I can say the same thing for many affiliates I've worked with.
You shouldn't piss into the wind.
