.tv domains may become more prominant than they are now because so many television programs are using them, but they will never compart to the big ones

I have to say, I don't agree in the least. But if you're sincere in your prediction, I would be interested to know why you think that.

Reasons I disagree: I think .net and .org will remain stronger because they were part of the original three generic TLDs, and other country codes like .us .uk .jp and .kr will remain stronger because of their associations with their respective countries, and .info and .name and crap will be stronger because they're more memorable and pronouncable, and country codes like .fm and .tv will be more popular because even though they have negligible country association they have meaning as acronyms for frequency modulation (i.e. FM radio) and television, and .cx will be more popular because .cx is shorter to say than .ws and "x" has a minor coolness to it as a letter.

I think they tend to sound cheap and second rate, probably because they arent .com like we are so familiar. But if that is what people want then you dont want them thinking your domain sounds cheap, or even worse, forgeting your domain and going to the .com.
