You're not being a dick - but maybe you're not reolizing with EV1 you're getting a cookie cutter solution, no managed solutions, no real support, if something breaks - they'll just format your drives and re-install; to hell with your data. With people like WebAir, FoundryNap and myself, you'll actually get a solution you can work with and where your business continuity is taken into account.
