Just because I drive to San Diego does not mean I am going to cross the border.
That being said . . . it is kind of weird that the defense rested already, and I am not sure that I think it is a smart move for your attorney to say in opening statements that you are going to testify, and then not put you on. But I also think Peterson would have had a problem on the stand.
It sucks that they did not televise the case, but from what I have seen/heard there are a couple of issues that the prosecution has problems with, like cause and place of death, did the kid die at the same time . . . things like that.

Guilty as hell.
Up until recently, I thought he would walk, too. But based on what the people in the courtroom were all saying, the prosecution got a lot of help last week when they shredded the defense witness about the baby. And now the defense has rested so soon. I'm thinking he might actually be convicted, but I don't think he'll get the death penalty.
