The facts are that under the Clinton administration the United States had the BIGGEST suprlus EVER. Under the Bush Administration (with a Republican Congress), we have the largest DEFICIT ever!
And, you seem to forget the matter of the budget in 1996 when Clinton literally shut down the entire government for like 2-3 weeks because he REFUSED to accept the REPUBLICAN Congress's INCREASED spending in the new budget! The REPUBLICAN Congress FINALLY gave in, and the spending was cut!
The Republicans REPLACED the Democrats as the big spenders when Newt and gang took over the congress back in 1994!Comment
