Before I start, let it be known that:
1) I love ARS. They are a great company, always have been, their recent changes to stay afloat are an example of how they always will be a great company
2) For a whopping 18 hours of my life, yes...I was a sig whore..but have stopped and have even taken off ARS banner.
Now, with that being said....You guys are being really irresponsible about this (atleast from what I've seen.) You came out with truley a GREAT idea...but, you encouraged it to board posters ...AND DO NOT DENY THAT...MarcDe, the man himself suggested it to me in GGandJim chat room to everyone and to myself in a PM when I asked. Now, if you guys couldnt see this coming from a mile away, then maybe I've been all wrong standing up for you guys when people say that you guys should have seen your financial UPTURN COMING FROM A MILE AWAY. Please take a quick 20 second timeout away from playing mom and papa to webmasters, lecturing of how we abused the system, and take a look at yourselves and how you FUCKED UP in your planning...its that simple.
Honestly, the CPM program should be insituted in its old form to webmaster resource sites...that means 5cpm on the banner, 3 on the button 10 on the console.... For regular webmasters, institute something that pays based on HOW MANY WEBMASTERS YOU SEND TO ARS...NOT HOW MANY TIMES PEOPLE SEE AN ARS LOGO.
This is nothing more than brutal honesty and relaying what a lot of people deep down are thinking.....but not saying, because we all know that MOST of us, were never pulling 5 bucks CPM on our sigs and we want an opportunity to do that, or 3CPM or whatever the its at now.
So to conclude...(i appologize to all the great women at ARS for the following comment...) ARS, GROW SOME BALLS...BE A MAN...OWN UP TO YOUR MISTAKE IN PLANNING...COME OUT WITH AN ECOMICALLY MORE REALISITC PLAN FOR AVERAGE WEBMASTERS...
