    Who uses skype???? ICQ and AIM are old ass news.....

    I've been loving it, Aim and ICQ have been GARBAGE for like the last couple months.. While Skype is staying strong...

          I've been wondering for ages why nearly everyone on here seems to use ICQ and AIM. There are better systems out there.

          Skype is cool. Other VoIP software also available that may be better than Skype too, but because Skype has most people signing up people will probably end up using this system. Bit like everyone using MSN and plugging into the Bill Gates empire.......

                      I think i'm one of the few that isnt a big fan of it....

                      ICQ sucks but its what i've grown to know over the last 8 years or so and it acts as my roladex

                              Signed up shortly after it were launched but didn't really use it until recently.

                              Got a friend studying in Syria and its a easy and cheap way to stay in touch.

                                                          I do too man, so I'm right with you. I hate the phone, but am lost without my Blackberry.

                                                          Skype is more like working in the same room with someone. Hollering across to bounce ideas off each other. And yes, it does have chat capabilities as well as video. You can do conference calls and all that. That's just the free features. You can upgrade to call any landline or cell phone, international calling, voice mail and more.

                                                          I think it's about time webmasters dumped ICQ and the like and move to something new...like Skype.
