Yeah, I think your hitting the nail on the head as far as I'm concerened.
There used to be, or maybe there still is a model, where webmasters would build all these mini AVS sites, and hope to bleed the trickle of traffic from leading AVS's to their sponsors
mine is, sell surfers AVS subscriptions and make $$ ;)
