It stinks... really... because all the rain causes everything to rot. If you leave canvas sneakers on the balcony for a week, they will no longer exist. The whole fucking country stinks. And there is no air conditioning.

It stinks terrifble... and it never goes away.

Lots of jungle. Roads suck since they are full of pot holes . Takes about 1.5 hours to drive from one coast to the other.

Don't drink the fuckin' water. I got an ameoba and was deadly ill for a week. That shit will kill ya.

The local girls tend to be ugly since they are mainly indians. Lots of whorehouses... lots of aids. Most prostitutes are from somewhere else, like Columbia and Venezuala.

Food sucks... they eat the monleys... grill them on the corner on a long stick like a shiskkabob.

Also on the corner are armed police with machine guns and shot guns... you might be used to that though.... but they don't much like white skin.

Most places to live are ok... if you are near the canel zone and it was once part of that system.

The police are big time crooks... everything works by plata which means bribery.

I once was just flying through Panama. Had to change planes. They told me my seat was taken... and to come back the next day. The guy just wanted a bribe.

Beaches are good... lots of bikinis.

If you want to go somewhere over in that area, Costa Rica is much much better.

I lived there for two years.....it was nearly 15 years ago....the country was still very much infulenced by the US at that time.

I do not agree with some of the above but i have not been there in a very long time. The climate is tropical and the rainy season is rain like I had never seen before or since.

My experience was that there is not really a middle class

the up side to that is.....it does not require a whole lot of cash to be on the good side of the tracks. I have to believe there are many opportunities that exist in Panama but......it can be a scarey place if you do not know where you are or who you are around

as far as the women.....of couse there is more ugly than pretty show me a place where it is not like that.....ok withthe exception of Brazil.

Panama has it's purposes, but doubt that would include actually living there!

Have a look at Costa Rica! Crap roads, but otherwise very livable.

Another place that has "bad vibes" it no longer deserves is Nicaragua. Especially if you want to earn serious money off real estate :-) Costs in Nicaragua are around 25% of the costs of Costa Rica. Comms are good and the roads better than Costa Rica.

It's not really racist... Pure native americans (from Alaska to South America) tend to be barrel-bodied compared to their caucasian counterparts.

To say that NONE of them are hot would be inaccurate; I happen to know a few VERY hot native women. They happen to have some caucasian genes as well though, I can't say if that's related.

Of course, any definition of attractiveness is going to be culturally biased. That doesn't mean it's racist.
