I think the fire on the plane in the pic is from the ejection seat not the plane being on fire ... I think he ejected because he was going to hit the ground... but from that second vid it almost looks as if he could have pullled it off but it would have been very very close... but as long as he lived he did the right thing I guess ... must suck having to explain loseing a few millon dollars worth of a plane.Originally posted by Manowar

The final military investigation was written off as Pilot error.
He miscalculated the initial height before he went into the dive. He calculated at sea level and not field level, so he missed it by about 1500ft.Comment
