having to shut down a site???

we've had a small paysite up for 2 months....

now to un-usual circumstances... we have to shut it down...

what is the best way to do this and not fuck over or piss off the people who have been members?

any help is appreciated!

If you have other sites transfer them over to that. Send them an e-mail telling them, and request a response. Give them a free month.

Its simple.

1. stop all rebills
2. redirect joins to another site and email all affiliates that they need to change their links
3. when the last member expires shut down the site.

Huge city... Houston... 4.5 million people

and it's so weird.... after the first week of the site being up...

someone came in and said someone to her about it (WHAT ARE THE FUCKING CHANCES OF THAT?!).... she didn't let it affect her.... and we kept going...

but then... in the last 1-2 weeks... several people have come in... one even spoke to the manager and he confronted her.

It's not a pretty situation!

Is it possible to filter out IPs on state-basis? If so then block visitors from that one state. I have heard of one site that claimed to be doing that.

I mean, seriously.... would any of you go up to a manager at a bank (or grocery store or whatever) and say, "Yeah, I was surfing porn the other night, and I saw an employee of yours fucking on a site".
