            The point is this. This is an industry where it doesn't matter what you wear to be in this industry. Credentials are measured in dollar signs, not clothing or initials after your name. You'd be surprised how many successful, highly successful high school dropouts are amongst those who have post graduate degrees.

            What we wear might not be acceptable to certain clubs. When that happens, and I've seen it happen....those webmasters head on back to the Venetian, plop down several thousand dollars and rent a suite, open it up to those who don't care about a dress code and party until the wee hours of the morning.

                                I'm a dropout myself, and I make more than all of my graduating class. ( Save for a few who have taken over the business of their parents. Perhaps there are a few others who make more, but from the little research I have done, nobody is making more. Not that I've bragged about it, I was just curious to see how everyone turned out )

                                I'm shocked that so many people in such an industry based on vanity, would ignore their own appearances. We're not talking anything normal here, folks. We're talking stand out of a crowd type of bad haircuts, poor clothing, and terrible postures. Come on now, are we webmasters, or players of Magic: The Gathering during lunch hour?

                                                                                                                Since I have fabulous red hair, I'm very vain about it and I go to the hairdresser often. I also get my nails done and pedicures. But, for me, that's a reward for the sixteen fucking hours I put into this business day in and day out. Others buy clothes.

                                                                                                                My $200. hairstyling, with highlights, costs more than my six dollar tee shirts. I spend more on pedicures than I do on clothes. The two carat diamond on my finger goes as well with sweats as it does with a gown...which, by the way, I bought for my first Vegas adventure....and, recently, just sold on Ebay, with the tags still attached.
