I'd like to see Bill Murray win. Right now the buzz seems to be following Sean Penn and Johnny Depp.
Of those two...I'd like to see Depp take it home. He did a dead on Keith Richards impersonation with Capt. Jack Sparrow.

Mystic river is SOOOOOOOOOOOOO over rated. There are so many similar non mainstream movies that are way better but people dont care about it cause they dont play them in the big cinemas.
Mystic river is a bit more intelligent than Godzilla and the whole crowd goes....wooooow that movie is deep you know!Comment

i've but Bill on all my polls for weeks now. Firstly, he won the Baffta (British Oscars) which usually goes the same way but who knows. Secondly, they might be a bit afraid of giving it to Penn incase he gives a politcal speech.
Thirdly, Bill was so good and sometimes they like people known for comdey doing drama and pulling it off. Though, they didn't even nominate Jim Carry for the Truman Show. So, who knows. Penn, will get another chance and Bill might not.
Bill for dark horse. I hope he faxes in his speech like he did at the Bafftas.Comment

Glad you liked it, but I didnt. I just thought they were trying to hard to be different.
Sometimes differerent isn't always better. In my opinion, they just didn't ad enough storyline to keep my interest.
And believe it or not, I'm known for liking "different" or wierd movies.
Lets just hope that dolly lama promise comes through for billComment

I didn't really care for that movie. It was slow.
Bill Murray didn't transform at all in that film. He was good, (well.. I do like him) but Sean Penn made a slow transformation throughout Mystic River.
My vote was for Johnny Depp because I'm in to him, but
I do feel they will give it to Bill Murray for the indy factor.
Sophia's good. Virgin Suicides was better, IMHO.

You know when I went to see it I didn't know it was Sophia, I only found out in the credits which made the Godfather poses all that much more funny.Comment
