    why do people like ipods?

    I do not get it. Its an MP3 player.

    You can get much smaller ones for £40, so why buy one thats huge for £300.

    Why not get a hand held pocket pc for much less if you want a pocket hard drive.

              You can buy pocket ones for £40. Mobile phones have them (well some do). Most pocket PCs play MP3 files too.

              Yes I know you can store tons of songs on them, but does anybody have that many MP3 files, plus the batteries do not last all that long (about 8 hours).

              If they were about £80, then ok, I would maybe get one, but at £300, I can get a pocket PC, so I just do not get why people want them so much.

                          I bet most people only fill the machine with 10% of content (if that).

                                  i believe it's not memory but like a small hard disk... rotating stuff... not good.. flash memory is much better imo

                                          unfortunetly, i can't justify paying $300 for one either, but if i had the cash and was lookin for an mp3 player, i'd go ipod, as far as specs go, they rock, and the look good too
