I had a bill I didn't know was counterfeit once. Took it to the bank with a bunch of other cash to deposit. They kept it and I had to fill out some paperwork. Then the Secret Service sent me some info on how to spot counterfeits and a form that said I could claim the loss on my taxes.Comment

That's why I check the strip in the bill. Under black lights, the strip glows a specific color based on the denomination. If the bill doesn't glow properly, I won't accept it.Originally posted by WicKed NinJas

I'd throw it away, or keep it for fun, but I wouldn't spend it. I can't see myself making the effort of bringing it to the police.
I once got shit from a store owner for using a counterfeit $20, I have no idea where it came from. Once the guy pointed it out I could tell, but you wouldn't notice unless you were checking it. Those little scanners they have in some stores are effective.Comment

Indeed you are correct, but most of those chicks are to drunk to think about that.Originally posted by Trixie Racer

Make sure they don't have black lights. The fakes glow differnt then real bills. Sit up by the stage in the red lighted areas and you will be ok.Take it to the strip club....lolol

I would spend it along with the entire stack that I had made the night before.SIG TOO BIG! Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, then you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60.Comment

I would pass it on.......

I would spend it unless it was a really bad fake.Tired of Paypal? Then give Moneybookers a chance.Comment

I'd trace my tracks to where I got it & get good legal tender in return. Having worked in a bank I can feel the difference of a fake and a real one. At one point though, they were using actual lower denomination bills to reprint higher ones, those were harder to notice.
