Lens some sig buying thoughts

basically the buying of sigs is too much work it needs to be more automated like on ebay. Or a auction site.. if you could just go around bidding and all auctions ended at teh same time and you got emails with all teh ones you win and then close them all out at one time it would be much more efficent .

if I want to buy say 50-100 sigs its like a whole days work the way its set up now. I dont really have time to spoend a whole day each month buying sigs !

if I could just go somewhere and buy 50 peoples next 100 posts then i could get some pretty quick flood of branding.

Also sig buying is getting less worth it as more and more people surf with sigs off. If we are gonna have sig auctions then we should make it so that you can not turn off sigs. That would make them more valuable.

I'd be willing to take over and utilize sigbroker.net for this purpose. I have no problem investing time in that. Everyone could just list their price with contact info or something.

Yeah I had gotten up sigauctions.com at one point.... But it was too early for its time...

I guess I could just copy ARS and pay per CPM
or per click on my banner CPA

would be the same thing then if ya want to sport my sig ya have to come signup for my program

I woulda bought more sigs if it wasnt soooo much work.

I am really considering just making my program offer more for webmaster referrals. and be done with it. I would get tons of banners all over the place at a price I set.

You're right CT... you can't just go ask for an offer and then laugh at it, how are you supposed to know what to bid???

And as far as the 100 bux concerned I think it's a generous offer for a domain you don't use and where you get no income from... it isn't like this is a unique domain or something

I think a CPM program like ARS would just set off a new sigwhoring frenzy on the boards, well-chosen high profile sigs are more usefull for branding IMO

well thats exactly whats coming 5 programs from big players to whore sigs per impression. I am sure I am not the only one getting ready to implement it. teh boards will soon have pay per impression ads all over them.

I agree 95% with what you are saying.

It is way too much work. We will devise a more efficient system.
