Rik Waller shot to fame as the outspoken finalist in the first series of ITV s "Pop Idol". Rick confounded all expectations to make it into the final 10 but was forced to bow out of the show following an ill-timed throat infection.
Following the huge publicity he had amassed on the show, Rik went on to enjoy a top ten solo hit with his cover of the Dolly Parton classic "I Will Always Love You" in March 2002. A further single, "Something Inside So Strong" reached No.25 a few months later.
Rik also appeared in the first series of "Celebrity Fit Club" (ITV) where he had a huge bust up with Harvey the fitness instructor.
Rik has recently changed musical direction and was recently spotted sporting a goatee and dreadlocks. He now performs with his new band "Souled As Scene" at venues across the UK.
Rik has made numerous TV appearances since "Pop Idol" including a spell as a contestant on a recent edition of "The Weakest Link".
