Why does it seem like a lot of companies always have an average of 1 "stat fuckup" per month, yet the signup stats are never affected? I'm not accusing anybody of anything, but if the stats aren't functioning properly, how can they gurantee that all signups are in fact counted? Am I the only person who finds this a little odd?

I'm sure it's a tough job to keep track of everything, but these monthly glitches at various companies seem a little "strange".Comment

That's the problem. I'm starting to wonder if monthly problems mean something internally is wrong. ie. trying to recoup some money to make back payments, etc.Originally posted by hyper
technically shit does happen, DB spurts, script clashes, server problems.
nothing is 100% surefire all the time.
however if u see a pattern develop, dont stick around for the next glitch, it could be their lastComment

Down time happens in all industry, but I do also noticed that there seems to be more "down time" and "mistakes" in this industry than all others I have been in.
I think it all comes down to if they "can" afford to let that happen. This industry seems to have a higher tolerance of error on everyone's part than others. But the profit margin is way higher compare to others. So ppl tend to tolerate this special "character" of the industry.

Kind of like on a really hot summer day, when everyone is running their air conditioners, the power will suddenly go off for the whole day. Then when you call to see when it will be back on, they say a specific time, like "8:15 pm", then sure enough, at 8:15 on the nose the power comes back on. They probably shut everything down for the day to save themselves money while still collecting.Originally posted by shermsshack
