    Anyone invest in Roth IRAs

    I have about a grand left over each month, and instead of throwing it into a savings account, im thinking about Roth IRAs.. are they any good?

    I took my money out of CD at 6% and spent all of it I could cry. Then 9/11 happened so I wont be getting that rate again even with a low cut top..
    too lazy to find advertising for this sig space

        Ive been throwing $200 a month since high school... Whats the monthly limit now, if any?

        When your 50 yrs old, it should be nice

          i think the maximum is 3g's yearly..it's not bad something safe and it'll be there when you're 70..haha

            Yeah, I have a lot in a Roth IRA that was set up for me when I was real young. It's tax free, meaning that when you turn 59 1/2 you're not taxed on any gains, but there is a penalty to draw it out early. It has it's good and bad points. You should check out fool.com, there's a lot of good articles on Roth and Traditional IRAs.
